Watercolors has finally broken even! (and is on "sale" rn)

Hey all!

Nothing crucial in this devlog, no updates or anything. I just wanted to share that I've been so deeply impacted by the kind words that have been shared through comments and direct messages about your experiences with Watercolors. Hearing that you've engaged with the game in a way that's meaningful to you gives me the drive to continue sharing my creations with others, all in the hope that making art makes life a little better for us all.

I also am happy to share that we have officially broken even with the tangible dev costs of Watercolors! Honestly, I didn't expect Watercolors to make it into any hands other than that of a few close friends; the gaming market is overwhelming to me and ultimately I'd like to join a team where I'm not worried about sales or marketing. While I may not be financially covered for the time it took to develop the game (which is an expectation I struggle to hold myself to; still trying to seriously value my time), I'm still humbled by this milestone and have only you to thank. $125 is not very much to most people, but as an unemployed solo dev making a niche little game, it means the world.

Thank you all for reading, listening, and playing.

Be well,

Fallon

P.S. Watercolors is on "sale" ($1 for the game + OST; still free for just the game) right now until Monday, and itch.io is being very generous in giving their 100% of their normal revenue share to creators. If you don't buy something from me, buy something from SOMEBODY!

P.P.S. Much different in tone and theme than Watercolors, but I have a new multi-genre full-length album coming out soon! Check it out: https://linktr.ee/every.day
